Royal Palm Beach
Approximately 15 miles inland, the village of Royal Palm Beach was reportedly named for the dozens of royal palm trees planted along the boulevard that stretches through the village. The area The scenic protected lands—known for hundreds of parks, some 29 miles of waterways, and a general mission to safeguard green space—create a pleasing place to both call home and experience nature. The village offers a variety of activities for outdoor and sports enthusiasts, including soccer, basketball, tennis, youth football, cheerleading, senior activities, and year-round golfing. The city dedicated a sizeable piece of land to a central park and developed some 25 acres into a bird-watching and nature park. The village's 6,300-square-foot Cultural Center opened in the early 1990s.
